Navigating Success
We provide customized coaching that builds students’ executive functioning skills in time management, organization, emotional regulation, and task completion.
What Makes Us Unique?
What makes TrueNorth Coaching Collective unique is that we are not simply coaches—we are veteran licensed educators and certified academic coaches who understand the full academic landscape our students are navigating. Our work is grounded in research-based executive functioning curriculum and informed by measurable student success indicators, ensuring that growth is intentional, strategic, and trackable. We don’t offer surface-level accountability; we build durable skills in planning, organization, time management, self-advocacy, and follow-through—skills that carry students confidently through pivotal transitions from middle school to high school, high school to college, and college into early adulthood. Beyond individualized coaching, we cultivate meaningful partnerships with respected local professionals who serve as mentors, broadening each student’s exposure to real-world pathways and expectations. The result is a cohesive, high-caliber support model that blends academic expertise, structured skill development, and community-connected mentorship—equipping students not just to perform better in school, but to step into adulthood with clarity, competence, and direction.

"Kate doesn’t just offer academic tutoring; she provides essential life skills. She has been a remarkable guide in teaching our daughter how to organize, approach tests, and effectively study (and what to study). Furthermore, her support in managing real-life stresses has been just as important. Kate is an incredible resource, and her holistic guidance has made a significant difference!"
"I really enjoy the accepting vibe and the warmth of my coach Lisa. I never feel judged, yet I am made to feel appreciated; my contributions in our meetings and the effort put forth towards improving my study habits are truly valued. I will utilize all the info I learn in our meetings in the future."
“Kate has an incredible ability to connect with my kids. Not only are they excited to see her, she has really helped them understand how to prioritize tasks and manage their assignments effectively. She worked with both my boys through all three years of middle school, and took the battles out of school/family life. She held them accountable for the work, was direct and firm when they didn't follow through, and celebrated every little win alongside them. I highly recommend her ability to foster executive functioning skills.”
“EF coaching is a low-pressure, positive environment that allows me to talk and think freely about my shortcomings and find ways to do better in the future. Lisa helps me stay accountable for implementing changes in my study habits, and helps me not to feel alone while trying to struggle through academic challenges.”

"Kate has been such a wonderful support for both of our kids as they have grown from elementary school into middle school. She’s helped them build confidence in their classes, strengthen their study skills, and develop great executive functioning skills along the way - all while keeping learning fun and engaging. Kate has a special way of connecting with kids at their level and bringing out their best. She not only holds them accountable, but in this process they realized it feels good to be empowered not managed. This approach has greatly contributed to successes in the classroom and to my kids as learners. We are so thankful for the positive impact she has had on our family!"

“Kate was instrumental in supporting our daughter through Middle School. She was both professional and relatable, which helped to grow my daughter’s comfort and confidence in her school work and in herself. Kate also communicated well with me, making extra time to share what they had completed in the session and what she heard as our daughter navigated the highs and lows of early teenagehood. Kate’s ability to connect with young people is one of her greatest gifts in her tutoring relationships. Kate became a trusted adult in my daughter’s life.“
"My coach Lisa has not only provided me with the tools for implementing healthy study habits, teaching me time management skills, and giving me resource materials found on campus, but has more importantly been my biggest cheerleader. She is always willing and ready to help me with any situation, no matter how big or small. I am thankful I have such a constant person in my life who I know is always rooting for me. So thankful for Lisa!"
“My academic coaching experience has been very positive. I think that long term it will be invaluable. For someone such as myself with ADHD, I find that the help with time management is brilliant and enables me to bring structure to my day where I was unable to previously. The simple act of having someone like Lisa to hold me accountable is also incredibly useful. I wish that I had coaching support earlier on in my time here at CU.”
