TrueNorth Coaching Collective is an independent coaching service and is not an educational institution as defined under FERPA. Therefore, records maintained by TrueNorth Coaching Collective are generally not considered “education records” under FERPA. However, we respect the spirit and intent of FERPA in protecting student privacy.
For college-aged students (typically age 18 or older):

• Coaching services are provided directly to the student, and the student maintains control over their personal information.

• We will not share information about a student’s coaching, progress, or participation with parents, guardians, or third parties without the student’s explicit written consent, except where required by law.

• If a student wishes for us to communicate with a parent, guardian, academic advisor, or other third party, we require a signed consent form specifying what information may be shared.

If coaching services are coordinated in partnership with a college, university, or disability/accessibility office:
